Poetry!

I love poetry.  Even though I am not someone who can write it, I appreciate people who can.  One thing I like about poetry is that one poem can make you feel many different things.  Another thing that I enjoy about poetry is listening to what other people feel about the same poem, and if it makes you feel something different.  That's really interesting to me.  Not knowing the poet is fun, because you get to decipher what you think the poet was feeling and what you feel as well.  I think you can learn a lot about yourself when reading poems and by what you feel from them.  I wish I could say that I have a favorite poem but I do not.  I am not done reading all of this pod's selections of poems yet, but when I am, my next blog will be talking about which one is my favorite and why it is.  Any one who is following this entry, what is your favorite poem and why ?

A little late =(

So I realized just a few moments ago before I was going to get in the shower and get ready for bed ( the weekend shift and I are still not use to each other)  that I am a little late on getting my blog going.  Uh-oh!  So I'm going to do my best to remember to stay up to date with my posts!  I still haven't decided on what exactly I want my blog to be about yet so this post my be somewhat random.  Since its currently says my favorites I will pick my favorites so far out of what we have all ready read.  So far my favorite author from the pods has been Kate Chopin.  I really enjoyed all of her stories.  I like how involved I felt when reading her stories.  My favorite story of hers that I read would be The Storm.  I liked how much it told in such a short time.
Another one of my favorite stories is The Yellow Wall-Paper by Charlotte Gilman. I started reading it and before I knew it the story was over and I was a little sad because it was a very good read.  I found myself thinking about the story the whole day.  Which is what a good story should do ! =) It seems that I enjoyed the women selections of Realism and Naturalism more than the men selections.  Don't get me wrong, so far I have enjoyed every story that I have read, I just found it easier to put myself into the women's stories rather than the men's.
